2024 Aldi returns no receipt

This happened to me during the pandemic ( or 1.5 years ago) I didn't have a receipt, so was denied a refund. This year was at a different location and they accepted a return, no receipt, gave store credit. And that item was seasonal, so I knew it was 6+ months old. That was an aldi find, shelf thing.
