The main points of my "rant" are: Morde lacks initiation to the point where he can't do shit without help. He gets outscaled by most champs while being poopoo early game. He has no clear win condition other that "ult priority targets" which is just the same as Darius or Garen executing someone. Mordekaiser is VERY 1-dimensional, and has a rather large number of devastatingly shitty lane matches. Because of his overly simplistic design involving % max hp damage, he beats up on tanks really well, practically for free. On the flip side, he REALLY struggles in metas that favor strong mobility. true. You outscale him in team fights too. I recommend Rylai’s after oblivion orb to help slow him down if he ghosts. It is a Morde favored match up for the most part, but Darius has a lot of early game damage and can snowball monstrously. As a morde main, when going into this matchup I look to break passive with E so that I can ult right after or soon after. so if you lose passive especially post 6 play back a bit so it’s harder for morde to ult. A lot of items just aren't built for morde, either. He struggles to pick up decent damage if he builds tank, but AP bruiser items are very lackluster compared to AD.
